BBC Bitesize – KS3 History

I wrote and designed the interactions for three or four of the Key Stage 3 History activities.

Designing Bitesize activities can be challenging. You need to make revision fun, but get all the information across.

[blockquote]Nobody fought a dragon or punched a witch.[/blockquote]

I enjoyed developing an irreverent tone of voice for the activities and cramming in the content. One of the challenges of this set of activities was the need to make them feel non-linear within a media player best suited to video. I think in chaptering up the content and using content as navigation we did a decent job.
